Capital City Wrestling Synopsis
Kevin Hill first created the concept of CCW with his former Vice President of the United Wrestling League, Sean Prime, in late 2014 with the idea there but nothing put into place. Upon removing Sean Prime, Kevin Hill wanted to see his vision come to life and when he spoke to Ethan Brody, everything seemed to slip into place and in February 2015 Ethan Brody and Kevin Hill begun negotiations. March 2015 the announcement was made that the former director of operations of Outlaw Championship Wrestling, Ethan Brody, became the minority owner of Capital City Wrestling (Majority owner being Kevin Hill) and work has begun to get its first event up and running.
We all have the dream of making it to the big time in professional wrestling. Switching the television on to watch thousands of fans sitting in attendance, coming out to thousand dollar pyrotechnic displays that coincide with custom written music and Hollywood style video packages. To top it all off by having the best manufactured merchandise on the market! We all dream of having fans run to you, wanting autographs because you’re the poster boy child, appearing in adverts and films and wanting to live that lifestyle they live in the ring.
We all share that same dream.
But great wrestlers don’t start off in big companies, they start from the very bottom by going through wrestling schools or camps, wrestling in independent companies that hold that potential stepping stone for bigger and greater things. Independent wrestling productions are the lifeblood of this industry.
Capital City Wrestling is proud on being an Independent production.
Based in Washington DC, CCW tours from small venues around the federal district of the United States, wrestling in front of fans from up to 500 to potentially 2000 fans; we offer the best pro-wrestling production available to fans. Tickets range from $5 up to $25 (Family bundles are available). We have a four sided ring, a small stage consisting of mainly black curtain to start off with (may vary on venue and if venue has performance stage or metal stand/stage structure available for us to borrow) no big screen for custom video packages, no pyrotechnics or fog machines (With the exception being for supershows, will be discussed with venue) but we’ve got a brilliant sound system with microphones and music.
Our philosophy being that ‘It is a simple production that offers its entertainment in the ring’
Although Kevin Hill has landed CCW a television deal with the network, P.W. Syndicate, Ethan Brody is sticking with streaming shows for the time being (P.W. Syndicate will be showing Capital City Wrestling in the near future, once there kinks have been ironed out, all details will be made available once we get them) majority of independent shows are choosing streaming rather than TV these days, a lot of fans want to enjoy all types of shows all around the world, Brody wants the CCW product to be enjoyed by Washington DC fans as well as the wider wrestling audience.
Capital City Wrestling has currently got two championships amongst its ranks, the CCW District Championship and the CCW Heavyweight Title, it doesn’t have a recognized ‘World’ title as it’s an independent production. Plus Capital City Wrestling is a part of the UWL.
The United Wrestling League has several wrestling promotions under its banner, holding events featuring UWL World Championship matches, it has several regions that includes Awesome Championship Entertainment (ACE) and North Atlantic Wrestling (NAW). CCW is one of those independent promotions that fly’s the UWL flag, competing in inter-promotional events at the wrestlers choice, eligible to compete for established world titles (which includes World Heavyweight, World Tag Team, American Heavyweight, Ladies World and Junior Heavyweight Championships)
Capital City Wrestling is a promotion on the up. If you want to be a part of writing it’s history with us then contact our talent relation officers, sign our application/contract, wrestling around the nation’s capital and make CCW one of the most talked about independent productions in the world today!
