[Scene opens to the agency offices of Ezra Goldman, self-described 'Wrestling Super Agent'. Ezra, a phone in one ear, a blue-tooth head-set in the other, is sat at his desk typing away at his computer. A door opens on the other side of the room synchronised with a bell. Ezra looks up and the camera pans to show the newest addition to the CCW roster, Jamie Jackson. He walks in and pulls up a chair to face Ezra.]
Ezra: Where have you been kid? I've been calling you all morning. Don't answer that now. Here's the deal. I got you a booking this Monday. You got a match, kid. Capital City Wrestling down in, well, Washington obviously. Just got off the phone to the co-owner, Ethan Brody. One of your lot. English fella.
Jamie: You're kidding? I know of him. Ex-army. Been around the block a bit.
Ezra: Exactly. He comes from your neck of the woods so I'm hoping you two hit it off, but don't get on the wrong side of him. Anyway, he runs the place, it's all under the UWL umbrella though. Trust me, that's a good thing, kid. He's not the only one from across the pond down there either, so you should settle in ok. They've signed the boy Travis Dane. He's from your way, still fairly new on the scene but he was over in OCW and already has a bit of a following, plus the ladies love him, despite that flamboyant bohemian look he goes with. Don't understand it myself. Looks like an S&M Willy Wonka. There's also Quinn Buckley, but I can't see you rolling with those guys anytime soon so you're better off steering clear. I think there's a girl down there too, performing interviews or such other. Used to get her jugs out in the papers they say. Emma Middleton or something.
Jamie: Emma Madison?
Ezra: That's her. You know her, kid?
Jamie: Jesus, man. Every guy my age had a picture of Emma Madison on their wall growing up.
Ezra: Well don't get all weak at the knees come Saturday. This guy you're facing has a pretty strong record. He's big, he's mean. He's not who you want in your first match to be honest, kid, but I told them about the success you had in Europe and they hey presto, this is who they put you up against.
Jamie: What success? It was a six month tour of town halls and holiday parks! Sure I won most of the matches but every guy on that tour was either a has-been, prima donna or an also-ran. They were tough old blokes looking to hurt the younger ones because their glory days were behind them.
Ezra: What about that shit you told me when I first met you? All the cruiserweight titles and royal rumbles?
Jamie: I won a Cruiserweight tournament in Stoke-upon-Trent, and an over the top rope Battle Royal in Winchester Town Hall. I thought that was big at the time but I regret telling you that now!
Ezra: Well I may have exaggerated those details, but don't worry about it now. Just roll with it when you get over there. Play along. Anyway, this fella Damage you're up against.. The Big Demolition Man he calls himself. Not the catchiest of nicknames if you ask me, sounds like he's over-compensating for something. Leather jacket, fist pumps, rides his bike around the ring too. Yeh, he's a real cliché, kid. BUT, unfortunately for you, his record speaks for itself. He was making good headway down in OCW before the curtains came down. Plus, he's BIG. And you, well, you're not. But here's how we'll spin it. You're the underdog here. The unknown entity. When you step into the ring the fans won't know what to expect. Furthermore, this guy Damage won't know what to expect. Pull this off they'll be calling you the giant slayer. It'll be like a wrestling fairy tale.
Jamie: I'm no jobber, Ezra. You'll see. I might be giving up a few pounds and inches in this one but I've faced a dozens of these guys. My days on the road in England will stand me in good stead here. If I can take six months of angry 300 pound knuckleheads, I can bring this guy down.
Ezra: That's what I'm talking about, kid. Now I've booked you a coach to the capital. Get down there, take in the sights. I'll see you at the show.
[The scene fades out as the men continue to discuss matters relating to Epic Encounters.]
